Submission of Manuscripts

Beiträge zur Sudanforschung

Contributions should not exceed 35 pages in print.
They may include line drawings as well as photos, both in digitised form and high resolution. Photos will be reproduced in black-and-white except for selected ones, which will be printed as coloured plates.

Manuscripts are accepted as e-mail attachment. Line drawings are highly welcomed to be submitted as graphic files.
Although the editorial board disposes of a rich collection of ancient and diacritic fonts, we ask the authors to provide us additionally with special sets (*.ttf) if used.
The size per volume ranges between ca. 220 and 240 pages.
Each author is responsible for the contents of his/her contribution. As a pre-condition it is required that he/she possesses the copyright for the photos included.
After publication, each author will receive a digital offprint of his/her contribution and is free to put it in online repositories immediately.

Beihefte zu den Beiträgen zur Sudanforschung

"Beihefte", are a monograph series. The size of the individual volume varies according to the length of the respective manuscript submitted.

Note:
Since our Society aims at providing free copies of our publications for various African institutions, our funding capacities are limited to the publication of the "Beiträge". Therefore, we kindly ask authors or publishers intending to submit manuscripts to the "Beihefte" to provide the funding for their publication.
